The American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) guidelines for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) recommend screening for fibrosis in high-risk subjects with either type 2 diabetes, two or more metabolic risk factors, or steatosis on imaging.
